Patience is key, says Reach

12 September 2016

Adam Reach came on from the bench to register his first Owls appearance in the 2-1 win over Wigan on Saturday.

The former Middlesbrough man says he has settled into the side well since his deadline day switch and will now work hard to force his way into contention for a starting shirt.

He said: “The lads played well against Brentford a couple of weeks ago, we will see what happens on Tuesday but I am sure I will get the opportunities.

“The games come fast, we want to keep going and pick up another win on Tuesday and hopefully we can start rising up the table.

“I have only been here a week but have settled in well. The lads and fans have made me feel very welcome.”

On Wednesday’s return to winning ways, Reach believes it was important to remain patient after going a goal behind early in the contest.

The Owls showed their character by issuing the perfect response – a dominating performance and two goals to turn the game on its head.

“It was important to stay patient because we had well over 80 minutes of the game left after they scored," Reach added.

“You just have to stay patient. Naturally, when you go 1-0 down you want to get back in the game straight away. We were patient, got our two goals, and won the game.”
