Tom Lees set for 100th Owls appearance

28 September 2016

In a week of milestones for the Owls, another could well be achieved this weekend as Wednesday host Brighton.

Tom Lees is set to make his 100th appearance for the club on Saturday.

The defender moved to Wednesday in July 2014 and his commanding displays at the heart of the Owls’ backline have since made him a popular figure at Hillsborough.

The ever-reliable defender – who extended his stay with the club in August until 2021 – has proved a rock in central defence and chipped in with three goals along the way.

In the past two outings, Barry Bannan and Kieran Lee have made their 50th and 150th respective appearances for the club, while Steven Fletcher bagged his 100th career goal at Blackburn on Tuesday evening.
