Jack Hunt has taken confidence from the Owls’ last two outings heading into the clash with Newcastle on Saturday.
The in-form defender believes Wednesday have responded in the right manner after back to back defeats before the international break.
Hunt played his part in the midweek win over Rotherham, claiming a superb assist for Steven Fletcher’s second goal, as the Owls climbed back into the top six.
He told swfc.co.uk: “We have a great, honest set of lads in there and we want to put in those performances.
“It’s a long testing season, unfortunately you can have dips, it happens but the main thing is how you react.
“I thought we did well against Barnsley and there were a lot of positives from the Rotherham game.
“We saw out the result, kept a clean sheet, scored two good goals and we got some big players back out on the pitch.
“I’ve been happy with how I’ve been playing recently, I was glad to get the assist the other night, it’s good for confidence and one thing I want to improve on.”
