Ross Wallace believes Wednesday produced their best performance of the season on Saturday.
The Owls were excellent value for the three points in the clash with Newcastle and Wallace says that display has come at a good time for the club.
He explained: “I think that was our best performance of the season, I think it’s the best we’ve played and it has come at a good time and given us something to build on.
“If we put in performances like that, then the rest will take care of itself.”
Cardiff at Hillsborough on Good Friday is the next challenge for Wednesday and the club’s March Player of the Month added:
“We know we have got those performances in us, we are a threat.
“We looked like a team that is playing at the top end of the table, the next one is Cardiff and we’re just looking at that.
“That’s the next step for us and we want to put in that kind of performance against Cardiff.”
