Concentrated on ourselves

4 April 2017

Following the frustrations of the draw with Barnsley on Saturday, Morgan Fox wants to right those wrongs this evening.

Wednesday head to local rivals Rotherham, whose relegation was confirmed at the weekend.

Looking ahead to the South Yorkshire clash, Fox told swfc.co.uk: “It will be another fight, it’s a derby but we need to get that out of the way and play our own game.

“They know their fate now but we’re just concentrated on ourselves, we know what we have to do to win.

“We need to get a few results behind us because that’s always a massive thing. As soon as you get one, you usually get the next one so it will be important for us.”

Only seven games remain in the regular season, two of which will be played this week in front of the Sky cameras; the first tonight against the Millers (7.45pm) and then on Saturday at home to leaders Newcastle (5.30pm).

“It’s a big week but that will be the case for every week now until the end of the season,” Fox added.

“We know we have got to pick up as many points as we can.

“We always look forward to the next game and this is another good chance to get the win on the board.

“We need our fans, their support was brilliant on Saturday and we know they are going to be in good numbers again tonight so, we can’t ask any more of them. They have been fantastic for us.

“We should have come away with the three points for them on Saturday so tonight we want to put that right.”
