Opposition view: Gary Rowett

The Owls face Derby on Saturday in their penultimate home league game of the season.

And Rams boss Gary Rowett says he is determined to come away from Hillsborough with three points.

Derby currently sit ninth in the Championship with the play-offs out of reach, but Rowett says he will not be making wholesale changes to his starting 11.

"I won't be too experimental,” he said. “That's not fair on the league and the teams who have worked so hard to get to this point.

"We've got to play our part, so it will be a good test for us.

“We saw against Huddersfield that those teams can start to get a bit edgy at this stage of the season and have a different mindset.

"Sheffield Wednesday need to keep winning, so we will come up against very motivated opponents.

"Hillsborough will be full to the rafters and there will be a great atmosphere. But, of course, we want to win the game."

Ex-Wednesday loanee Scott Carson has also offered his thoughts ahead of the weekend clash and the shot-stopper had plenty of praise for the Owls.

The England international said: "They've done very well. They were unlucky last year not to get into the Premier League.

"To be right up there again is credit to them and the manager. It will be a very tough game. They need the win, so we know they will be right up for it.”
