Former Sheffield Wednesday player, manager and chairman Howard Wilkinson will open proceedings at the club’s 150th anniversary dinner next month.
The gala dinner takes place at Ponds Forge in the city centre, a goal kick away from Wednesday’s formation venue of the Adelphi Hotel.
An array of Owls legends will be in attendance on Monday 4 September, and no one is more deserving of the title than Wilkinson.
Indeed, the native Sheffielder is in the unique position of having represented his boyhood club as player, manager and chairman.
The current chairman of the LMA will take to the stage with host Mark Clemmit to kick off what promises to be a fantastic occasion in Wednesday history.
