Owls visit Windmill Hill

5 December 2017

Owls duo Glenn Loovens and Morgan Fox paid a visit to Windmill Hill Primary School last week to talk to the pupils about the importance of reading and writing.

The pair joined a class at the school in Chapeltown and took questions from the youngsters, ranging from favourite books to life at Sheffield Wednesday.

After the lesson, Glenn and Morgan posed for photos and signed autographs for the children, before enjoying a guided tour of the school to meet as many young supporters as possible.

Teacher at Windmill Hill School, Nicola Wood, said: “We’re very grateful for Glenn and Morgan coming to visit us.

“They did a great job answering all of the questions and were so accommodating and friendly.

“It is hoped this opportunity will really spur on some of our children to read more and understand how important reading is.”

Skipper Glenn added: “It was great to visit the school and meet the staff and children.

“It’s important that, as players, we go out into the community and if we’ve managed to inspire any youngsters today then it makes it all worthwhile.”

Thank you to everyone at Windmill Hill for having us!
