Owls wideman Adam Reach is the Sky Bet Championship Goal of the Month winner for November, receiving 55% of the vote for his stunning strike at Villa Park.
Only 18 seconds had elapsed in the clash with Aston Villa when Reach strode forward into space and fired home on the half volley from distance to stun the hosts.
Sky Sports Pundit Don Goodman said: “Often at the start of these big fixtures, it can be quite cagey and goals can be hard to come by. But Adam Reach made a mockery of that logic, producing an incredible strike after just 18 seconds.
“The goal itself is a wonderful strike, the technique is perfect as he cuts across the ball to deliberately produce slice, which takes it out of the reach of Johnson in the Aston Villa net.”
Reach said: “I’m delighted to win it, it’s the first time I’ve won a personal EFL award and I’m happy that it came in a victory for Sheffield Wednesday.
“It was one of them where you dream of striking a ball like that; it just dropped and I never broke stride, didn’t really have time to think about what I wanted to do, I just hit it. Thankfully I’ve caught it sweet and it went top corner.”
