As the Owls travel to league strugglers Wigan this evening, Carlos Carvalhal’s side go into the clash at The DW Stadium as narrow favourites.
But this counts for little in a league as tough and unpredictable as the Championship, as underlined by Carlos during his pre-match press conference.
The Latics are battling to move out of the relegation zone, while Wednesday are aiming to leap back into the top six and with both outcomes possible tonight, Carlos said:
“This competition is very hard and we can never predict what will happen.
“Since last season, we have pressure from ourselves to win the games.
“We want to do our best and this will be another one where we expect a tough challenge but we will fight to the end to try to win the points.
“It’s why I said in the last game we didn’t win one point because we wanted to win the three.
“But we achieved one point, even though I think we deserved to win.”
He continued: “We are 100% ambitious, we have 100% faith, we are 100% concentrated and with our fans we are absolutely ready for this game.”
