2017/18 Season Ticket FAQs

2 February 2017

In this easy to understand Q&A, we explain the key information on the Early Bird Season Tickets and 150th Anniversary Prize Giveaway.

Where can I buy a 2017/18 Season Ticket?

You can renew your current Season Ticket - or Owls Members can buy a new one - at the Sheffield Wednesday Online Shop, in person at the Owls Megastore or by telephone on 03700 201867 (option 1).

Can I buy an Early Bird Season Ticket if I am not a current Season Ticket holder or Member?
Not currently. Due to the large numbers of 2016/17 Season Ticket holders and Members, a priority period is in place for all Season Ticket sales.

How can I buy a Season Ticket if I am not a current Season Ticket holder or Member?
You can register your interest on a waiting list now by emailing your name and contact details along with your Season Ticket requirements to registerme@swfc.co.uk – please include your client ID numbers or address if unsure of your number.

How will I know if I am successful after registering my details?
From Monday 27 February onwards, sales will open to those on the waiting list. Successful applicants will be contacted by a member of the Ticket Office team, so please ensure you include a daytime contact number.

I am a Season Ticket holder, what level of priority do I have?
You have the whole of the Early Bird window period to secure your seat for the 2017/18 campaign.

I am a 2017/18 Member, how long is my priority period?
Your priority period will last until Monday 27 February, during which you will have exclusivity along with Season Ticket holders. After this date, Season Tickets will enter the general sale period.

I have a Season Ticket now, can I purchase one for a family member or friend?
If they are a current member, yes, if not you will have to register their details on the waiting list as outlined above along with your Season Ticket details.

Why are Season Tickets capped?
Following the exceptionally high uptake of 2016/17 Season Tickets and large Membership base, coupled with the expected demand, Season Tickets will be capped to allow us to keep a percentage of seats available for match by match sales in line with the relevant rulings.

In addition, the club are giving consideration to the ongoing reduced capacity issues we have experienced this season with the local authorities. Consequently, seats within the stadium are increasingly at a premium. The retention of the requisite number of seats will allow us to ensure that new fans and visitors have the opportunity to enjoy the matchday experience at Hillsborough.

When is the Early Bird deadline?
Monday 6 March at 5.00pm in store and midnight online.

Can I buy a Season Ticket after the deadline?
Not immediately. Season Ticket sales will cease and will go back on sale once our divisional status has been confirmed. Prices will increase for the second phase in either event and will again be sold on a priority basis, with current Season Ticket holders who have not renewed receiving first preference.

Should availability remain at this stage, a priority period will commence based on attendance over the 2016/17 season for both Members and those within the general sale bracket who have registered their interest.

As a Member, will I get priority during the second phase of sale?
No, your priority period is only applicable during the early stages of the Early Bird sale. Thereafter, all existing Members will be categorised as general sale, but priority will be based on match attendance during the 2016/17 season.

Will Season Ticket prices change when they are back on sale?
Yes, there will be an increase in price, hence it is beneficial for supporters to purchase their Season Tickets during the Early Bird period.

How long do I have to renew my current seat?
This date is still to be confirmed.

What payment options are available for an Early Bird Season Ticket?
Supporters can pay at time of purchase by cash, cheque, credit or debit card.
