Owls striker Lucas Joao has joined Championship side Blackburn Rovers on a loan deal until the end of the season.
The 23-year-old is eligible to feature for Rovers in their clash with Leeds United at Ewood Park on Wednesday.
Joao made the move to Hillsborough from Portuguese Primeira Liga side Nacional in summer 2015.
The forward has since made 60 appearances, hitting nine goals in total across all competitions.
His only goal during the current campaign came in Wednesday’s clash with Cambridge in the EFL Cup back in August.
