Carlos Carvalhal accepts the Owls have created extra responsibilities for themselves given the successes over the past 18 months.
Having fallen at the final hurdle last season in the play-off final, the Owls have regrouped and come back stronger this time around.
With more points in the bag than at the same stage one year ago, Carlos says Wednesday are progressing and moving forward on and off the pitch.
He said: “We are progressing, we are better than last season, we understand the competition, we are playing in different circumstances, we are not playing as underdogs and we have more responsibility.
“Opponents play against us in different ways than they did last season. When they play against us, they play against a team that was in the final of the play-offs.
“It’s an exciting game to all opponents when they play against us but it is a responsibility that we have created.
“This makes our work harder but more interesting also but all the time we are doing exactly the same.
“Focusing on the next game, trying to achieve points, looking at the strong and weak points of our next opponents and giving the maximum.”
Carlos has underlined the importance of the Owls fans, who he says played a vital role in overcoming Huddersfield last time out.
He added: “All the time in football you are with pressure.
“This is with all the teams in the world, it’s absolutely normal. The Sheffield Wednesday fans have been amazing with us.
“I can give the example of the last game, we knew we were not performing so well in the first half but the way the fans gave confidence to the team, didn’t disturb the team and made them more confident, helped us win the game.
“We think we can win with all the opponents. We work hard to try to win, we push the team to win and after we will see.
“This is the brand I want at Sheffield Wednesday.”
