The Owls are urging all supporters at tonight’s pre-season friendly against Doncaster to support the Myton Hospice, where lifelong Wednesdayite Ross Blair is currently receiving palliative care.

Ross, whose father Andy made 75 appearances for the Owls between 1984 and 1986, and brother Matty currently represents Rovers, is terminally ill in the facility, which relies on public donations to continue its superb work.

There will be a bucket collection around the Keepmoat Stadium tonight, with all funds raised going directly to the Myton Hospice.

Rovers midfielder Blair told Doncaster’s official site: “With my brother being terminally ill and the hospice treating him, it means a lot to me to try and give something back.

“The guys who are organising the collections deserve massive credit as well, they have been a great help and I am very grateful.”

For fans not attending tonight’s game, you can still donate by CLICKING HERE.

All donations will be greatly appreciated and go towards a brilliant cause…thank you!
