Carlos Carvalhal has spoken highly of the facilities available to his squad in Portugal as the Owls step up their preparations for the 2017/18 campaign.
Wednesday are ensconced in their warm weather training camp across Europe and the head coach is pleased with the progress so far.
He told swfc.co.uk: “It is going really well. What we have here for the players is fantastic conditions with the weather and the surroundings.
“We must train really early and again later on and this is good for the fitness, good for the players.
“The facilities where we are staying are first class, we have everything we need and now we look forward to the games.”
Wednesday will be backed in good numbers for their trio of friendlies in Portugal, with around 500 Owls fans expected on the Algarve.
Carlos added: “They always come and support us well when we come to Portugal and we are thankful as always.
“For me, it is the perfect combination, the sunshine and following Sheffield Wednesday.
“We have three good games for them to see and we look forward to seeing them there.”
