Sean Clare enjoyed a moment to savour in midweek by scoring his first league goal for loan club Accrington Stanley.
During the home clash against Wycombe Wanderers on Tuesday, Clare rose high in the box to nod the hosts in front just before the break.
The game finished 2-2 and could prove to be a vital point in Stanley’s bid for league survival, now six clear of the drop zone with two games in hand over relegation rivals Leyton Orient.
Clare has featured seven times for Stanley so far during his loan move in Lancashire and he tweeted after their last outing:
“Buzzing to have scored my first league goal for @ASFCofficial disappointing not to get all 3 points but the boys put in a shift.”
Accrington face Barnet at home tomorrow, where the Owls loanee is line to make his 8th appearance of the season.
