Plenty of twists to come

18 March 2017

Morgan Fox has spoken of the frustration in the Wednesday camp following Friday’s defeat to Reading – but remains certain there are plenty of twists to come in the Championship.

The Owls went down 2-0 to the Royals, whose goalkeeper Ali Al Habsi turned in an outstanding display to keep Carlos Carvalhal’s side at bay.

Fox himself twice went close amid a raft of chances but it would ultimately prove a fruitless night for the hosts.

The full back said: “We went close so many times, I had one that hit the post and one cleared off the line and their keeper had a blinder to be fair.

“I think we all had a go at it at some point but it was one of those nights for him.”

Fox continued: “I think there will be plenty of twists and turns to come because that is the nature of the Championship.

“We will use the international break to clear the minds and the legs and come back ready to go again.

“We have two big derby games after the break against Barnsley and Rotherham but every game will be a big game between now and the end of the season.”
