Sheffield Wednesday academy product Fraser Preston has been called up to the Scotland Under-19 squad for their UEFA European U19 Championship Elite Round campaign.
As Ricky Sbragia’s side bid to qualify for the finals this year in Georgia, the Scots will face Austria, Hungary and group hosts Czech Republic between 22-27 March.
Preston has been in fine form for the Owls Under-18s in recent weeks, having hit eight goals in his last eight games.
The 17-year-old put pen to paper on his first professional contract with the Owls in October 2016, in a deal that will run until June 2019.
Preston joined the Owls academy at Under-14 level and has successfully worked his way up the ranks since.
