Speaking ahead of the Owls’ trip to local rivals Barnsley on Saturday, Sam Hutchinson says he is ready for action in the Owls’ eight-game run-in.
The tough-tackling midfielder has missed Wednesday’s last three outings but is now looking forward and aiming to be involved throughout the remaining games.
On his injury, Hutchinson said: “Yes I’m good, I just have to manage it.
“Hopefully I can play in all of the games we have left, the manager knows me and knows I want to play.
“It’s good for us to have a few players back fit again, the gaffer said in the press about getting the players back because obviously they’re big players for the team.
“Obviously the boys who’ve come in have done well but having everyone back brings competition for the squad, everyone has to try that little bit harder.
“Everyone has been right at it in training, so fingers crossed for the derby.”
Hutchinson scored against the Tykes earlier in the season as the Owls triumphed 2-0 at Hillsborough and now has his eyes set on the return fixture.
He added: “They’ve done very well from where they’ve been and how they got promoted and they’ve done really well this season, we beat them 2-0 but they were very good at our place.
“Every game in this league is so hard, you’ve got to be at 100% or you get punished.
“Everyone in our team gives 100% and no one can tell our group that they don’t try. We’ve scored a lot of late goals this season, which shows how we all dig in and keep going right to the end.
“It’s another game with another three points up for grabs, the boys know what they’ve got to do and we’ll be giving it our all.”
