Sheffield Wednesday are excited to announce a brand new arrival to the club’s digital operation in the very near future.
From next Tuesday, 6 June, there will a fresh, new look to the official website, swfc.co.uk.
Over the past six months, the Owls’ media department have been working hard behind the scenes to mould the new website, provided by EFL digital partners Realise, and have all aspects ready for launch.
On top of this, Wednesday PlayerHD will be replaced in tandem to provide a completely fresh digital offering to supporters and subscribers to the club’s premium service.
PlayerHD will take up its new guise as ‘iFollow’ and we are delighted to welcome on board new providers, NeuLion – industry experts in digital video broadcasting and live streaming.
iFollow will, for the first time in English football, enable EFL fans based outside the UK and Ireland to watch their team during the regular EFL season.
Kicking off at the start of the 2017/18 EFL season, overseas subscribers will pay the equivalent of £110 per season for the service which will provide coverage of up to 46 live games per club.
Fans based in the UK and Ireland will still have access to live audio commentary, highlights packages, full match replays and exclusive content as part of the new offering.
