Carlos Carvalhal has issued widespread praise after Wednesday qualified for the play-offs for the second season running.
After a challenging campaign, the Owls booked their top six spot in style with a game to spare, having already accumulated seven more points than the entire 2015/16 season.
Kieran Lee’s 77th minute winner at Ipswich saw Wednesday comfortably over the line in terms of a play-off finish and Carlos said:
“It’s very good to us and the credit goes to a lot of people, the chairman, the players, the fans and the staff.
“All of us deserve this chance because we work hard, we believe all the time, we have quality in our work, we have quality players and play good football.
“We have achieved something we put in our mind to achieve and we did bright work in this end part of the season.
“It’s the part where the players shown their character and said, ‘we are here and we want to win.’
“In this moment, we are in the position we deserve and we are ready.”
