Jose Semedo said the Owls are much stronger than they were going into the play-offs this time last season.
The Portuguese captained Wednesday on the final day defeat to Fulham and says the whole squad is ready for the play-offs.
Semedo said: “We know what we have to do, we know where we are.
“We have a better team now, we have better players and there is more strength in the squad and this makes us much, much better than last year.
“Every game will be tough, and we are ready for that, Huddersfield are a good side as we are, but we believe in ourselves and we will go out to win the two games.
“Last year we believed we could do it, but this time we are much more confident that we can.
“The team spirit has been amazing throughout the season and that is why we are where we are.
“Our fans have been amazing and when we play at home we don’t play with 11, we play with 30,000, and it makes all the difference.
“The defeat last year has made us even stronger.”
