Barry Bannan made his 100th Owls start last weekend.
The trip to Derby on Saturday marked the popular Scot’s 100th start since joining the club in August 2015.
An influential performer in Wednesday’s engine room, Bannan has chipped in with five goals along the way and proven a superb signing for the club.
And while the midfield man has experienced some great moments with Wednesday, the Scotland international is keen for the club to reverse their recent fortunes.
Ahead of Saturday’s clash with Barnsley at Hillsborough, the 27-year-old is determined to help put on a good performance for the supporters.
He said: “It’s going to be a tough game but we look forward to it.
“They’re a good team, their fans will come and make some noise, but it’s the type of atmosphere here with the backing of our fans that will make us even more determined.
“We showed what we are capable of last time out here against Leeds so hopefully we can get to those levels again this weekend.
“I’m trying to work hard for Sheffield Wednesday and looking to keep performing to the best I can.”
