Owls back Poppy Appeal

30 October 2017

Tuesday’s clash with Millwall is the Owls’ designated home fixture to remember all those who have lost their lives whilst serving their country.

The game will be preceded by a minute’s silence at Hillsborough, as we remember the brave men and women killed in conflict.

During this time, a Royal British Legion bugler will perform the Last Post and the players of both sides will wear black armbands.

To go hand in hand on the night, our charity partner for the game is the Royal British Legion.

This annual occasion gains support throughout the nation to back vital work in the Armed Forces community.

There will be a bucket collection taking place around the stadium and supporters will also be able to obtain a poppy to wear and back this fantastic cause.

Funds raised from the appeal aid the Armed Forces in a variety of ways, including rehabilitation courses, careers advice for those leaving service and all year round campaigning.

Any donations will be greatly appreciated…thank you for your support.
