Alert, ready and with momentum

11 September 2017

Full of confidence, with momentum and high in belief is how the Owls head into tomorrow’s clash with Brentford.

Following Saturday’s superb win over Nottingham Forest, Carlos Carvalhal wants that momentum to continue on Tuesday as the Bees land at Hillsborough.

“We wish all of us to do a little bit better than the last game, the players, the coaches, the fans because all the time we can do a little bit better,” Carlos said.

“Our players will respond to that support with a good performance and let’s fight to the three points at the end, understanding the momentum is good.”

Brentford will be aiming to kick-start their campaign with a first win of the season and Carlos insists like any game in the Championship, the opposition is not to be taken lightly.

“We analyse the team, they have good players no doubt, we respect them a lot and because we respect them a lot, we are not sleeping.

“We are awake, we are alert and we want to do another good game understanding that we are all the time looking more to us than the opponent.

“I must tell you I am very happy with the team, the confidence of the team and the behaviour of the players.

“We are looking forward to this game in front of our fans.”
