Owls in the Park 2017 takes place tomorrow and this year’s community occasion on Sunday 3 September is set to be the biggest and best yet!
Already firmly established as one of the most unmissable dates on the Sheffield calendar, Owls in the Park now goes to the next level, with a revised format to tie into the club’s 150th anniversary.
What will undoubtedly be a day to remember, proceedings kick off at 11.00am with Carlos Carvalhal conducting an open training session with his squad here at Hillsborough.
All supporters are invited to see the players going through their paces, with the South Stand only open for this part of the event.
Training will finish around 12.15pm and following lunch, the players and coaching staff will head over to Hillsborough Park to commence a mammoth signing session that will run until approximately 3.00pm.
Inside the club marquee, we will officially launch two brand new books to mark the 150th anniversary - ‘Sheffield Wednesday FC – the Official History, 150 Years’ and ‘WAWAW – Fans’ Memories Through the Generations.’
Live music will feature throughout the event, culminating in two sets from top covers band ‘The Leptons’ that will lead directly into a fireworks display to close the show.
The park will be packed with more catering and craft stalls than ever before, plus three licenced bars, to accommodate what is expected to be the highest attendance since Owls in the Park began in 2012.
Last but by no means least, no less than 25 charities will be on hand to make for an all-inclusive community event never before seen in the Steel City.
See you on Sunday!
