Atdhe Nuhiu has been voted as the swfc.co.uk March Player of the Month following an explosive patch from the in-form striker.
The Kosovan international has hit a rich vein of form under manager Jos Luhukay.
His goals and influential performances earned the forward a landslide victory, scooping the award with 85% of the fans’ vote.
Ahead of the international break last month, Wednesday returned to winning ways in the Yorkshire derby at Elland Road, with Nuhiu scoring twice to seal the points.
The game looked to be heading for a draw following the hosts’ late leveller but in a dramatic finish, Nuhiu struck again in stoppage time.
And next time out, the big man repeated the impressive feat and bagged another brace.
Nuhiu broke the deadlock in the Owls’ 4-1 victory over Preston at Hillsborough.
Then, at 2-1 ahead in added time, the striker produced a moment of brilliance to wrap up the three points.
When it seemed the striker’s next move was to protect the lead in the corner, Nuhiu made tracks towards the box, evading challenges before unleashing a sublime strike into the top corner.
The goal-scoring run continued into April, as Nuhiu was again on target in the 3-1 victory over Sunderland at The Stadium of Light.
