Owls boss Jos Luhukay began his regular pre-match press conference with positive news regarding Atdhe Nuhiu, Lucas Joao and Daniel Pudil.
The Wednesday trio missed last Saturday’s win at Hull through injury but have made a swift return to the training pitch from the treatment room this week.
All three could be involved against Reading on Saturday should their progress continue and Luhukay said:
“I think for Saturday, Atdhe Nuhiu is an option, the same with Lucas Joao and Daniel Pudil.
“These three players were last Saturday not available, they had injuries from the games before but now they are training without any problems.
“If the trainings today and tomorrow are positive for the players, we have for Saturday these three players in the squad.
“We will look to see if they are 100% to play.”
He continued: “We didn’t have those players available last week but the we battled extremely hard to come to a good result, unbelievably intensive, and achieved the 50-point mark.
“Now we have three games to go, and two of them at home and we want to make our fans happy.”
