Atdhe Nuhiu will come back into contention for Thursday’s Carabao Cup trip to Sunderland.
The striker was dismissed on the opening day of the campaign at Wigan and subsequently missed Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Hull through suspension.
Nuhiu opened his account for the season at The DW Stadium, scoring in the 3-2 defeat before receiving his second yellow card of the game in stoppage time.
Stretching back to last season, Nuhiu has now scored ten goals from his previous nine Championship fixtures.
Wednesday’s last trip to Sunderland came as recently as April 2018, when goals from Lucas Joao, Tom Lees and Nuhiu sealed a 3-1 victory against the Black Cats.
