Sheffield Wednesday boss Jos Luhukay has spoken of the importance of making a strong start to the campaign.
With the season upon us and the opening day clash with Wigan now in sharp focus, the Dutchman says the preparation work has been positive and his side are ready for the action.
In terms of assessing progress early in the campaign, Jos believes the picture on that front will be more clear ten games into the campaign, as he explained:
“I say always after ten games you know where you can look for.
“We have worked hard to begin the season well at Wigan on Saturday and hopefully we will have the answers in the game and win the three points.
“But it is not a situation where you win the first two games that you play the whole year in the top two positions in the table.
“This competition is so heavy and intensive and you must keep focus. It is a very tough league and very demanding on the players but I have the confidence in them.
“For me, the view after ten games, where your position is, where other teams are and how we have performed is more of an indication what we can aim for.
“We are going into the season very positive.”
