Young Wednesdayite, Owen, 8, had a day to remember when he visited Middlewood Road to meet and train with the Owls first team earlier this week.
Owen was invited to the Owls’ training ground by Lee Bullen, who visited the youngster in hospital when he was being treated for severe burns.
The youngster was in the Sheffield Children’s Hospital for 12 days and has since made a miraculous recovery.
Bullen paid Owen a visit and surprised him with a Wednesday home shirt back in the summer.
Fast forward six months and Owen was delighted to meet his heroes, who all signed the shirt and chipped in with their own special keepsakes.
After meeting the team at breakfast, the young Owl enjoyed a kickaround with the players, showing off his goalkeeper skills in particular!
He rounded off the day with a picture with the whole team taken by club photographer Steve Ellis.
We hope you enjoyed your day Owen and look forward to seeing you again soon!
