Match preview: Owls v Preston

The Owls return to action at Hillsborough today with a clash against Preston and here is swfc.co.uk’s match preview;

Lee Bullen will take caretaker charge of Wednesday today following the departure of Jos Luhukay.

The Owls have suffered seven defeats from their last ten outings.

After going through a difficult spell, Preston have bounced back in strong fashion with four wins from their previous six games.

The Lilywhites are four points and three places ahead of Wednesday in the Championship.

Owls: Barry Bannan will serve the final game of his two-match ban.

Elsewhere, there are no fresh injury concerns from the defeat at Swansea last time out.

Preston: Manager Alex Neil has indicated he may have to call upon academy players to supplement his matchday squad due to injury troubles.

Sean Maguire and Brandon Barker (both hamstring) and Josh Earl (thigh) are sidelined.

Striker Louis Moult is also unlikely to feature with a nerve problem in his hamstring.
