New territory for Owls and Luton

4 December 2018

The Owls and Luton will enter new territory when they lock horns in the third round of the Emirates FA Cup next month.

The two were paired together in Monday’s draw, which means Wednesday will play against the Hatters in the FA Cup for the first time in the long history of both clubs.

Only once have the two met in cup competition, which was back in the 1984/85 campaign when the Owls triumphed 4-2 at Hillsborough in the fourth round of the League Cup.

Andy Blair famously notched a hat-trick of penalties to seal the hosts’ route to round five.

The date and prices for the January cup clash this time round will be confirmed in due course.
