'All Wednesday' - We want you!

14 February 2018

Valentine’s Day is the time to celebrate the love of your life - be that boyfriend, girlfriend, husband, wife - or Sheffield Wednesday!

And to the latter end, the Owls are delighted to invite Wednesdayites of all ages to submit their unique stories following their club and potentially feature in an upcoming feature film to mark our 150th year.

The exciting project, in conjunction with freelance film director and lifelong Owls fan Matt Exton, will span the coming months, culminating in a premiere showing later in the year.

‘All Wednesday’ will celebrate the fans of Sheffield Wednesday, telling their own stories through a variety of interviews, archive footage and iconic photographs.

North Stand Season Ticket holder Matt told swfc.co.uk: “The fans are so passionate about the club and it's fair to say everyone has a different opinion on all things Wednesday.

“The aim of the film is to feature a diverse range of supporters and listen to them share their stories and experiences about our beloved club.

“There will be so many stories to tell throughout our long and rich history and every supporter has their own personal experience in supporting the team. These highlights and memories live with us throughout our lives, and are what makes us so passionate about our club.

“Opinions can be divided but everyone stands together on their support for the club. I want to make this film to remind everyone exactly what it means to be an Owls fan and to re-inforce the phrase: "We're All Wednesday Aren't We?"

So, armed with the above, the video below is a four-minute teaser of ‘All Wednesday’ collated from Matt’s interviews so far.

From here, we are asking supporters to contact Matt and share their best moments following the Owls. It could be a first match, a massive moment in any given game, special memories shared with friends or family….or literally anything relative to SWFC.

CLICK HERE to contact Matt, who will sift through the stories and select what he perceives to be the most relevant for the film.

Submissions must be made by the last day of this month – Wednesday, 28 February. Supporters should include their name, age, postcode, email address, contact number and written story containing no more than 500 words.

All contributions must come from supporters aged 18 and over, although submissions can be made on behalf of under 18s in the event they give consent to be filmed.

We look forward to sharing your Wednesday moments…
