Owls duo back charitable challenge

23 February 2018

Owls duo Joe WIldsmith and Cameron Dawson visited Cutlers’ Hall on Thursday evening to support Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.

Wednesday are taking part in the Master Cutler’s Challenge 2018, which invites companies and community groups to take up a fundraising task.

Each group is given a £50 seed fund, which they have to turn into as much money as possible, with the proceeds going to a charity chosen by Master Cutler Ken Cooke, and this year is Bluebell Wood.

Joe and Cameron were at Cutlers’ Hall to represent the Owls at the launch event and they certainly got involved with the spirit of the superhero themed night.

Spencer Taylor, CSR Manager at the Sheffield Wednesday Community Programme said: “The Owls are delighted to get involved with the Master Cutler’s Challenge.

“We can’t wait to get started and take part in this great Sheffield competition, and to help raise money for an important local cause.

“The club has worked closely with Bluebell Wood over the years, and have been fortunate enough to visit the facility on many occasions to see the brilliant work that goes on there, so we are delighted to be supporting them by taking on this challenge.”

Keep a look out over the coming weeks to see how you can get involved and support the Owls in the Master Cutler’s Challenge!
