The Sheffield Wednesday Community Programme and St Luke’s Hospice are looking for people to join them in taking on the Six Dales Challenge.
The 27-mile walk through the scenic dales of Derbyshire takes place on Saturday 5 May, and gives you the chance to conquer an exciting challenge whilst raising funds for two great local charities.
If you want to take part, you will need to pay a £50 deposit and raise £250.
The Owls’ Community Programme have worked closely, long-term with St Luke’s, with successful events such as the annual Charity Cup match at Hillsborough and last year’s Three Peaks Challenge.
John Pearson, Events Manager at the Sheffield Wednesday Community Programme, said: “We’ve taken part in some fantastic events over the years alongside St Luke’s and we cannot wait for the Six Dales to be the next.
“As ever, it will be a tough challenge, but one that we thoroughly look forward to, and we’d love for as many people to join us as possible.
“The feeling you get when completing a challenge like this is amazing, and knowing the funds raised will go a long way in helping two great local charities, makes it feel even better.”
Jack Kidder, St Luke’s’ Corporate Fundraising Manager, added: “We are excited to again partner with the Sheffield Wednesday Community Programme to offer fans of the club a great opportunity to take on a challenge and support our vital work.
“The Six Dales Challenge is a wonderful way to take on a new test based in our beautiful local countryside and make a massive difference in Sheffield.
“Thank you to the club and amazing fans for your support."
The first 50 walkers to register will receive a free ticket to the Owls’ home game against Norwich on the final day of the season!
