16 February 2018

Saturday’s FA Cup fifth round tie takes place exactly 84 years to the day since an all-time record Hillsborough crowd of 72,841 flocked to S6 to see Wednesday face Manchester City at the same stage of the most revered domestic cup competition in the world.

The Owls and City played out an entertaining 2-2 draw, with Ellis Rimmer and Neil Dewar finding the net for the hosts.

With the game ending all square, the tie went to a replay and City ran out 2-0 winners on their way to winning the FA Cup for the second time.
