The game at The Riverside was originally scheduled for Saturday 27 January.
Due to progress in the FA Cup, Boro will now host Brighton in the fourth round on this day.
The Owls face Carlisle on Tuesday 16 January in their FA Cup third round replay, following the 0-0 draw at Brunton Park.
The winner of this fixture will host either Stevenage or Reading in the next round.
