The popular Charity Cup is back this year, giving supporters the chance to be a player for a day and raise money for two great local charities.
Participants will get the full experience of playing for the Owls at Hillsborough, and in doing so, support St Luke’s Hospice and the Sheffield Wednesday Community Programme.
Kicking off on Saturday 14 April, two Wednesday teams – both home and away sides - will battle it out to win the prestigious competition.
To get involved in this unique opportunity and play alongside some special sporting guest stars, all you have to do is raise a minimum of £500.
In return, you get full use of the Owls’ player facilities and changing rooms, receive a full Wednesday kit, with a meal after the game for yourself and a guest in the 1867 Lounge.
Players will also receive a souvenir team photograph and medal.
St Luke’s Corporate Fundraising Manager Jack Kidder said: “This really would make the perfect gift for any Owls fan.
“It’s a truly unique opportunity to step out onto the famous Wednesday pitch and be part of a memorable sporting occasion.”
John Pearson, Events Manager at the Sheffield Wednesday Community Programme, added: “This event is growing year on year and we’re delighted to bring it back in 2018.
“Getting the chance to play at Hillsborough, whilst benefitting two great local charities, makes for a very special day and an occasion people will never forget.”
