The Owls host Reading in the FA Cup fourth round on Friday evening and, ahead of the game, we are reminding supporters of the increased safety measures in place at Hillsborough.
Our priority is supporter safety first, before, during and after the match and we would also like to take this opportunity to thank all supporters for their patience over recent procedures introduced inside and outside the stadium.
All supporters can be assured these enhanced procedures are necessary at the stadium following a recent non-matchday incident that may have had serious implications.
Our matchday staff are trained and briefed to deal with any eventuality and we always ask any supporter to contact the nearest steward immediately should you become even remotely suspicious of any matter that could compromise safety.
Remember, the likelihood of being caught up in even the smallest of incidents is extremely unlikely but our message to all supporters is simple – help us to help you keep our stadium safe.
