The Owls can confirm the club’s Under-18 and 23 pre-season schedule.
The Wednesday Under-23s will be out to build on another strong campaign which saw them narrowly miss out on a second successive PDL2 North title last season.
The Under-18s, meanwhile, finished third in their respective division in 2017/18, winning their last five games and will also head into the new term with optimism.
In terms of pre-season fixtures, the Owls Under-23s begin with a friendly at Hallam FC on Tuesday 10 July.
The Owls Development Squad then face trips to Leicester (20 July), Frickley (27 July), Boston United (31 July), Corby (3 August) and Derby (7 August) before the season starts on Saturday 11 August.
Wednesday’s Under-18 squad report back for duty on Monday 2 July before heading out to Portugal on 8 July for their two-week training camp.
The boys’ maiden pre-season fixture comes on Wednesday 25 July away at Preston before travelling to Scunthorpe (28 July), Sunderland (1 August) and Stocksbridge (4 August).
Academy manager Steven Haslam said: “We’re really pleased with the schedule we have in place.
“It’s varied for the boys with a lot of different challenges thrown in as part of their preparation for hopefully another successful season.
“They will face Category One academies, there will be tough challenges against senior sides, we’re supporting local clubs which is fantastic and the Under-18s have a trip to Portugal to look forward to.”
