Owls academy seek accommodation-providers

4 June 2018

Sheffield Wednesday are recruiting for hosts who can provide accommodation for the Owls academy and Development Squad players.

Lodgings should provide good quality accommodation in an area close enough to commute to the club’s Middlewood Road training complex.

As an accommodation-provider, you will offer our young players a safe and comfortable ‘home from home,’ complete with the provision of nutritional evening meals, healthy snacks, occasional breakfast/lunches, wireless internet access and a comfortable bed.

The Owls are looking for providers who can accommodate players on a short-term basis during trial days/weeks, which may lead to a longer-term placement for the full season.

If you think you are the kind of host who can work with Sheffield Wednesday to play a key role in the development of our young players (aged 16 to 22), then we would like to hear from you!

SWFC are committed to equal opportunities, safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.

Applicants wishing to be considered will need to demonstrate they are able to share this commitment.

Prospective accommodation-providers and their property will be required to undergo a comprehensive screening process in line with our safer recruitment policy.

It will also involve permanent residents aged 18 and over to complete a DBS enhanced with barred list check.

The closing date for applications is Saturday 30 June and CVs should be sent by email to the club’s head of education and welfare, Dan Potts at dan.potts@swfc.co.uk.
