EFL Day of Action

20 March 2018

The Owls are showcasing the brilliant work its Community Programme delivers today to mark the EFL Day of Action.

The occasion is a chance for all 72 league clubs to highlight their work in the community and Wednesday will be doing exactly that.

In the morning, Wednesday’s Fit Club programme was in action, with organiser and ex-Owls striker John Pearson joined by former Wednesday players Mike Pickering and Lawrie Madden.

Pickering and Madden took part in a Q&A session with Fit Club members after an intense morning of exercise!

Later this evening the Community Programme’s Youth Club will be in action at the Owls’ Education Centre.

There will be a presentation and competitions for youngsters to take part in, plus a couple of special guests as young pros Connor O’Grady and Ash Baker will be joining the Day of Action!

Community Programme Manager at SWFC, Marcus Brameld, said: “The EFL Community Day of Action is a great opportunity for us to display our work.

“We have an ever-growing and varied roster of clubs, courses and programmes, all of which we are incredibly proud of, so this day gives us the perfect platform to showcase our community programme.”
