New game, new challenge

6 March 2018

Jos Luhukay wants to see a much-improved display tonight from his side.

Just days after the long trip to Bristol resulted in a resounding loss, the Owls boss believes tonight is an opportunity for the players to right some wrongs from the weekend.

With three of the last four games away from home, it’s a welcome return to Hillsborough for the team as Jos explained:

“It’s a new game, a new challenge and a chance to do it better than three days ago.

“We must have better defending and have the trust in the offensive to create chances and score goals.

“My hope is the fans stay fantastic behind the team and we must give always 100% and we must take the game from the first minute.

“We must come good into the game and build that confidence and trust.”

The Dutchman is aiming for his side to achieve more consistency and stability to finish the season in a good way and with 11 league games remaining, he explained:

“This is the situation we have, I think we have had a lot of games, good play and progression but also there have been games where we have taken steps back.

“I want more stability, more confidence and trust in ourselves.”
