Owls duo visit Youth Club

21 March 2018

Owls Under-23s Connor O’Grady and Ash Baker attended Wednesday’s Youth Club on Tuesday evening to join in the EFL Day of Action.

The occasion gave all 72 league clubs the chance to showcase their work in the community and the Sheffield Wednesday Community Programme certainly had a busy day!

Young pros Connor and Ash visited the club’s Education Centre to take part in activities with youngsters, including table tennis and FIFA on Playstation.

The evening rounded off a day of activities for the SWFCCP, which started out with Fit Club at Hillsborough.

The regular attendees and organiser John Pearson were joined by ex-Owls Mike Pickering and Lawrie Madden, before the pair took part in a Q&A.

Community Programme Manager at SWFC, Marcus Brameld, said: “The EFL Community Day of Action is a great opportunity for us to display our work.

“We have an ever-growing and varied roster of clubs, courses and programmes, all of which we are incredibly proud of, so this day gives us the perfect platform to showcase our community programme.”

Overall the Owls’ Day of Action was a huge success and we would like to thank everybody who took part!
