Owls dedicate Bolton clash to Prostate Cancer UK

9 March 2018

The Owls are delighted to welcome Prostate Cancer UK to Hillsborough this weekend.

Volunteers will be collecting funds outside the ground so please give generously to the official charity partner of the EFL.

With the money raised on Saturday, Sheffield Wednesday fans will be joining the fight to help stop prostate cancer being a killer.

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men and by donating and supporting, you’re playing your part in saving men’s lives.

Volunteers will be collecting outside the ground so please say hello and give what you can to help beat a disease that kills one man every 45 minutes.

From the start of the 2018/19 season, mental health charity Mind will become the EFL’s new Official Charity Partner.

Following the announcement last month, the EFL has confirmed that a legacy relationship will remain in place with Prostate Cancer UK beyond the end of the current season.

Over the last six years, the EFL has forged a charity partnership with Prostate Cancer UK that has raised over £3 million of funds for the cause, reached millions of football supporters and raised awareness of the disease.
