31 March 2018

Adam Reach’s spectacular strike against Aston Villa back in November is one of ten goals in the running to be crowned Mitre Goal of the Year 2017.

Ahead of the EFL Awards, which take place in the capital on Sunday 15 April, the EFL has teamed up with Mitre and Football on 5 to give fans the opportunity to vote for the best goal of the 2017 calendar year.

The Sky Bet EFL Goal of the Month winners for 2017 were narrowed down to ten and revealed on Football on 5 on Good Friday and now it’s down to supporters to vote.

The top five goals will be revealed on Tuesday 3 April, with the overall Goal of the Year winner being voted for and revealed at this year’s EFL Awards on Sunday 15 April.

Reach thundered home an unstoppable half volley just 18 seconds into Wednesday’s 2-1 victory at Villa Park.

Voting closes at 9.00am on Tuesday 3 April.
