Trust, confidence and belief

6 March 2018

Jos Luhukay says everyone must stay together as the Owls seek a way out of their current slump.

Tuesday night’s 2-1 defeat to Ipswich was the fifth on the bounce in all competitions and Luhukay has appealed for unity ahead of the Championship run-in.

He said: “There is only way and that is to stay together and have belief.

“We must have trust in each other and confidence. Tonight, I think we needed more of that trust and more confidence.

“We didn’t create too many chances but neither did Ipswich. But when they did get the chance they took it and then scored a very good free kick.”

He added: “With the injuries we have, I have never known a situation like this in all my years.

“But hopefully it will get better soon and we will have more players to add to the group.

“Tom Lees came through this game and on Thursday we are looking for Sam Hutchinson and Joost van Aken to play for the Under-23s.”
