Jos Luhukay says his side must approach the Sheffield derby with heart, passion and a positive feeling.
With the city gripped by the first Steel City derby of the campaign and the live cameras in attendance at Bramall Lane, there is plenty at stake this evening.
The Owls boss knows the importance of the fixture for the teams, players and fans and insists his side will give everything from first minute to last.
“You have the honour of your own team, the players themselves and of course for the fans you must give everything that you have to win the game,” Luhukay said.
“This is not only a game, I am long enough in football to know the importance of a derby and what you must do to be proud.
“The feeling I have myself and the feeling of my team is that we can do everything better in this game.
“We will do everything we can and give everything for a good result.”
While Wednesday go into the game on the back of four defeats, come the first whistle, all that will be forgotten as Wednesday look to get back on track in the derby, as Jos explained;
“The team must help each other and when you do it for each other then you have a new chance to come back to a successful way.
“This is what we are trying to do and what we believe we can.
“You must play with your heart to do everything for a good result. You must play with your heart and a positive feeling to give something back to the fans from the last results.”
