Sheffield Wednesday were saddened to learn of the passing of former academy coach Kevin Austin.
The former Barnsley and Chesterfield defender worked with the Owls youth set-up after hanging up his boots following a two-decade playing career.
Kevin was an immensely popular figure with staff, players and parents at Sheffield Wednesday having coached the schoolboy age groups in the Owls academy.
Rip Kevin Austin!❤️⚽️

He later joined Scunthorpe as Youth Development Phase Lead Coach in September 2016.
The Owls Under-16s and Under-18s face Hull City on Saturday morning at Middlewood Road, while the schoolboy age groups face Leicester on Sunday morning.
All academy fixtures this coming weekend will be preceded by a minute’s silence.
RIP Kevin [1973-2018]
